Andhra Pradesh National Green Corps organized a competition for youth below 18 years of age to design, develop innovative useful products/articles from household waste like plastics, polythene covers, old cloths or any other material that is not in use. As per the rules of the competition the candidates provided the information about the raw material used and the total expenditure involved in making the product. Selected products were displayed at a function organized on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June 2006. Prizes were given away to the best eight entries by Gali Udaya Kumar, Project Officer, Andhra Pradesh National Green Corps.
