Andhra Pradesh National Green Corps in association with Municipal Corporation of Greater Visakha has organized a rally to observe Earth Day on 22 April 2006. The rally was flagged off by Sri Muralidhar Reddy, Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Visakhapatnam. Environmental Education Workshop on 'Say No To Plastics' was organized as part of the programme. Sri Srinivas, Project Director, UCD; Sri M.S.Raju, Chief Medical Officer; Sri Vijaya Kumar; Dr.Dhavala Bhaskara rao, Assistant Medical Officer of Health; Sri Gali Udaya Kumar, Project Officer, Andhra Pradesh National Green Corps; Sanitory and Health Inspectors of the Corporation, Teachers from Municipal schools have participated in the programme.
